Leasing your land for solar or wind energy with reconcept

Landowners sign lease agreements to receive payments to host wind turbines, solar panels, battery storage equipment or other project infrastructure. The lease agreement sets out the annual payment amounts, length of time and other important terms.

Studies are conducted to inform project design and ensure compliance with municipal, provincial and federal laws. Environmental assessments, engineering work, local consultation and more are completed to guide the permitting and construction process. This process may involve some participation from landowners in terms of local knowledge and stakeholder support.

Permits will be required from local, provincial and federal regulators. reconcept complies with all permitting regulations and supports those authorizations through third party studies. Once permits are approved, the project can move forward.

Project construction lasts anywhere        from 6-12 months, depending on the size of the project and the technology, such as wind or solar.

When the construction work is completed, the project will be energized, and operations will begin. Local operations and maintenance staff will service the project as needed. After the lease ends, all equipment associated with the project is removed, and the land is restored to the condition it was in before the project was built.
